senior Citizens dinner
 HURON, OH 1809-2009

Huron’s Senior Citizens have long been an important part of our community. We will honor them at a special spaghetti dinner to be given at Huron High School on April 28. Huron High School students intend to prepare and serve the dinner, then provide plenty of entertainment to make this a memorable evening in the lives of our seniors – and have them home before dark!

There will be no cost to attendees for this affair, but a reservation will be required. Watch for the form to be printed in the Huron Hometown News, fill it out, mail it in or call in your reservation, and then rest up your taste buds. See you there, seniors!

Huron’s Seniors will also be invited to attend a special Huron High School reunion to be held in May (exact date to be determined) at the Huron Yacht Club.  Anyone who graduated in the 1930’s will be invited to eat with together and enjoy an early afternoon gathering.
Highlights will be the sharing, reminiscing session in which attendees will be encouraged to tweak their memories and for a short time relive the days of “Old Huron.”
Watch the Huron Hometown News for further details and send in the reservation form.

Garden Tour Follow Up & Recipes

What a BEAUTIFUL day & a FANTASTIC turn out it was!  Many thanks to the Huron Historical Society, the homeowners, Mother Nature, and all of the people who volunteered their time in pulling together a beautiful 2009 Red, White & Bloomin' Garden Tour!  Several requests have been made for the delicious recipes that were shared the morning of the Tour.  Click here if you would like a copy of the Lemon Drizzle Cake or the Walnut Ricotta Cake. Enjoy!   Click here for photos of the Huron Garden Club Flower Show.
